Cognito was founded in 2012 as a photography and art enterprise and has since evolved into a social enterprise at the intersection of creative communication, knowledge management, and technology. We help development programmes and enterprises amplify their impact, capture innovative learnings, and translate them into better future programming that addresses critical issues and improves lives. Our approach combines research and human-centered design to understand clients, challenge assumptions, and co-create innovative solutions that are tested and refined for impact. Collaboration and co-creation are at the core of our work. We bring expertise in social marketing, communication for development, visual storytelling, information design, digital technology, and social media. Our work spans Nigeria and beyond, supporting NGOs, donors, and enterprises to communicate more effectively and drive meaningful change.
