The Context

We’re a small team of researchers looking for policy interventions that could improve governance in the United States. When a promising idea surfaces, we put it through the wringer: we use peer-reviewed evidence to assess how likely the intervention is to achieve its goals, how significant the potential benefits are, and whether there would be any unintended consequences. By sharing our research syntheses and the positions we form along the way, we hope to attract fellow travelers and to learn from their feedback.
