The Counseling Place

The Counseling Place (est. 1979) is a 501(c)3) non-profit victim advocacy and mental health agency that's been serving the community since 1979. With trauma, our clinicians use current modalities backed by the latest brain research, which means less suffering and faster healing for clients. MISSION STATEMENT • To provide affordable Counseling and Education Services that Strengthen our Community. VICTIMS' ASSISTANCE PROGRAM • Professional Counseling (including Play Therapy for children) & Victim Advocacy Services • Crisis Response Team that remains on-call with the Richardson Police Department 24/7. YOUTH PROGRAMS • Professional Counseling and various Psycho-educational Groups for Young People and Their Adults. • State Certified Alcohol Awareness for Minors COMMUNITY COUNSELING PROGRAM (Out Patient Therapy) • Relationships (Marriage, Divorce, Blending Families, Parenting) • Personal or Work Related Stress Management • Grief, Anxiety, Phobias, Depression • Anger Management • Dealing with Loved One's Addiction or Mental Illness • Improving Quality of Life VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES MAJOR COMMUNITY PARTNERS • City of Richardson • Network of Community Ministries • Fujitsu Network Communications • City of Sachse • Methodist Richardson Medical Center DONATIONS • The Counseling Place depends on financial contributions to support General Operations & Specific Projects and Events.
