The Crossing Point

The Crossing Point is a registered domestic abuse charity, established in 2014 and serving the people of Merseyside. Our vision is to see the generational cycle of abuse broken and those affected by it living in hope, restoration and wholeness, with community participation. Reaching out with help and support is so important but it’s also vital to raise awareness through education-providing adults and young people alike with services that not only enable them to recover from the impact of abuse but also give them the tools to recognise and understand what abuse is, how it operates, how it affects lives and how to be helped and help others. Raising awareness through education is a key part in tackling the generational cycle of abuse - of changing the culture, the beliefs and attitudes embedded deep down in society. Through school programmes and assemblies young people can learn about unhealthy relationships-the potential to steer them away from abuse is massive and the opportunities to do this, much needed. We recognise the need and importance and significance of making a difference to those affected by abuse - through one to one emotional support and recovery programmes that bring hope of a life no longer lived in the shadow and fear of abuse. We see the need to bring insight and awareness through training to those in community, to equip those who can be a source of help to those around them - people positioned to be an influence for good. You can be a crucial link in helping make a difference to someone, to a family, to a community, to society - by connecting with us and making domestic abuse everybody’s business and seeing the generational cycle of abuse broken.
