The Cyclopark Charity

We're a health and wellbeing charity in Gravesend, Kent, on a mission to get people moving more on two feet and two wheels. Our purpose is to address health inequalities, particularly in the local area, and discover hidden talent through the operation of our award-winning centre. Locally with 42% of Year 6 children overweight, 1 in 3 adults inactive, life expectancy differing by up to 14 years between wards and two wards falling within the top 10% most deprived in England, we offer a wide range of Ride (Cycling), Fitness and Play activities, including over for free, to provide a community hub that drives positive change- Ride activities are on two, three and four wheels and include our inspirational Cyclo4All inclusive cycling programme with the Kent Community Health NHS Foundation Trust, coaching for all levels of rider from Learn2Ride to GB representatives as well as rock up and ride recreational cycling- Fitness is focused on in person class and one-to-one movement for Parent and Babies to older adults with a range of offering from Chair Fit & Chat to our own Garage HIIT and everything in between. Movement Not Meds is our overarching social prescribing programme working with local medical practices, Darent Valley hospital and Kent Public Health- Play provides dedicated and innovative spaces for young families including a zoned play park and range of spaces to practice scooting and early pedals skills- All of this alongside staging multiple events from family play based seasonal gatherings to British Championships across multiple cycling disciplines providing motivation, profile and valuable economic impact to the area. With over annual visits (16% increase year on year) and peak 28-day online interaction of social media and website impressions, we have a strong engagement locally, regionally and nationally. We recently published our Future Direction around four Strategic Goals in consultation with key stakeholders.
