The Daily Spring

The Daily Spring is a news and lifestyle publication dedicated to unearthing and bringing to light the precious jewels that are the lived realities of tertiary students and South African youth at large. We play our part in highlighting young people’s experiences through creative storytelling that captures the spirit and the interest of our young readership. Accurate reporting and advocacy are at the centre of our work. Our commitment to uplifting the youth extends to the structure of our work environment. We are a volunteer-based media project owned by The Open Journal Group. The Daily Spring strives to offer insulated training and anticipate exceptional performance on various functions related to the programme’s sustainability. As the public service wing of the group, we train journalism and media students across South Africa, giving them the platform to speak directly to and engage with their peers.
