The Didi Society

We are a local, Victoria, non-profit that works to empower women through direct, fair trade. We partner with women's cooperatives in India, Kenya and Guatemala to market their fairly traded handicrafts. In addition, we offer an education program that provides workshops for community, school and youth groups on social justice issues. We believe that marketing alone is not enough, there needs to be a strong education component throughout our work in order to ensure permanent positive change. The dual component of The Didi Society, marketing and education, allows us to bring positive change to the women's cooperatives we partner with abroad, as well as locally.
