The Elephant Foundation

The Elephant Foundation is an anti-poaching and conservation charity based in Hong Kong with a particular interest in the conservation of elephants and rhinos in East Africa as well as other endangered species while working closely with community groups to help them realise the value of keeping wildlife alive. We were formed in November 2014 to help raise awareness against the poaching of elephants and rhinos, two species that may well be extinct within this generation if nothing is done to halt the demand for their tusks and horns. A large portion of the work that we do at The Elephant Foundation is to educate people, especially youth, of the harm that poaching and the illegal wildlife trade has on animals and communities, both at the source and at the point of sale. With Hong Kong being at the epicentre of the global illegal wildlife trade the issue hits very close to home.
