The Fairmile School

The mission of the Fairmile School is to develop and implement individualized programs and activities (by the use of the Son Rise program) to meet the specific behavioral, educational, social, and emotional needs of each of our students with Autism, Cerebral Palsy, ADHD, learning, and developmental disabilities. In doing so, we work to improve the quality of life and life skills for all individuals whose lives we touch. We foster holistic child development by facilitating a play-based curriculum. In participating in play activities, children develop cognitive and social skills necessary for social interaction, critical thinking, problem solving, speech and language, as well as communication and sensory-motor skills. In engaging, our students have the opportunity to practice their social skills and use their vocabulary, helping them to integrate life skills into their everyday routines.
