The Field Academy

The Field Academy is a national roadtrip semester school for High School age students. We travel across the United States studying civic engagement and social justice. We partners with students, teachers, schools, and communities across the United States to create community-driven, place-based educational experiences for young people. In the Summer we deep-dive regions of the United States. Examining critical issues to the area, and listening and learning about the issues from community members. Our current programs are in the Southwest and Appalachia. We believe that a classroom can be anywhere: the middle of a field, the top of a mountain, the living room of someone's home, or the intersection of two city streets. Our mission is to provide programs that connect, engage, empower, and educate young people from across the United States in order to inspire enduring learning and create a just and healthy nation.
