The Flower Project Foundation

The Flower Project Foundation is a unique community kindness charity created to recognise and provide an emotional boost to people at risk of mental health issues due to challenging life circumstances. In its first year, The Foundation has grown from just one person to over 90 volunteers delivering 1350+ “bouquets of caring” to very special recipients in the community and is almost entirely volunteer run. Recipients include the elderly and isolated, those struggling with health issues, carers, people caring for special needs or terminally ill family members, as well as individuals who contribute much to the community via extensive volunteering and caring roles. In an environment when people can often become quite insular, The Flower Project Foundation was created to cultivate and strengthen kindness and community caring. We are ensuring ongoing sustainability by developing our workshops social enterprise and by linking with partner supporters and florists. The Flower Project Foundation is based in Brisbane however we hope to expand interstate once certain milestones have been achieved.
