The Frame Hotel
The Monna Lisa Art Collection is a collection created in collaboration with the American artist Denis Ouch exclusively for THE FRAME HOTEL as a place where the famous painting by Leonardo da Vinci was found after having been stolen from the Louvre in Paris in 1911 by Vincenzo Peruggia, a painter from Como. It was in fact in December 1913 that at the then Albergo Tripoli Italia (today THE FRAME HOTEL), he lodged in the room n. 20, Vincenzo Peruggia, author in 1911 of the daring theft of the Mona Lisa from the Louvre Museum.
