The Fresh Start Program

The Fresh Start Program provides support, education and coaching after bariatric / weight loss surgery to create a new healthy lifestyle. We partner with surgeons and their clinical teams (including multi-disciplinary teams) to provide long-term post-surgical lifestyle and mindset support and coaching for their patients. We also provide resources and lifestyle / mindset programs directly to patients who have had bariatric surgery and are struggling to get the health and weight results they truly desire. There are many reasons why people choose weight loss surgery, and all of them involve transforming lives and health. Many people find after surgery however that the food and exercise habits that led them to weight loss surgery in the first place are still a challenge. Despite the weight loss results over time, and their best intentions, many people can struggle to achieve a healthy lifestyle because they lack the support, motivation and tools they require when they need it most. The Fresh Start Program helps weight loss surgery patients to successfully look after their health and wellbeing via three key components: Assistance from a team of highly experienced wellness experts who understand the challenges that people who have had weight loss surgery can face, and the solutions that are available; Simple, clear and effective strategies that will help people to improve their health and get long lasting results; and Ongoing support, training and coaching to ensure that these strategies are actually put in place. A 2015 survey of patients enrolled on the Fresh Start program by a leading Sydney-based bariatric surgeon, found that 97% of patients wanted to keep the program as part of their surgical package and would recommend the program to others.
