The Gaff, Limerick
In 2014, The GAFF was born and today operates as a dedicated, community arts focused organisation for the Midwest. In 2024, The GAFF is fundraising to renovate a city-centre home in a landmark building (former Tait Clothing Factory building on Edward St.) providing work spaces for Limerick’s amateur, professional and community arts practitioners. A new home will also allow us grow our community and artistic programmes. Since 2014, The GAFF has connected artists with the most marginalised communities in Limerick. Partners have included Limerick Traveller Health Programme, Garryowen Youth Service, Moyross Residents Forum, West End Youth Centre, St. Mary’s Community Development Programme, Knockalisheen Direct Provision Centre and others.
