The Gas Consortium (TGC) was established as a pioneering industrial advocacy organization dedicated to harnessing the potential of natural gas development to improve livelihoods in the West African sub-region Since its inception almost a decade ago, TGC has been recognized by the gas industry in Ghana and select countries in West Africa as a leader in its field. Guided by its core values of knowledge integration, thought leadership and capacity building, TGC advocates for effective public-private sector partnerships that promote industry-specific best practices, innovative sector management and inclusive policymaking. Leveraging its extensive sector expertise, TGC’s gas-focused programs are carefully structured to underscore the critical role natural gas plays in advancing energy self-sufficiency, driving unprecedented economic transformation and promoting environmental sustainability. Accordingly, TGC promotes strategic investments to accelerate market development in line with West Africa’s transformational gas vision. TGC positions itself as a regional gas knowledge hub, bringing together programme partners - including government leaders, policymakers, investors, business executives and regulators - to work collaboratively to accelerate regional gas availability and shore up sector competitiveness. For TGC, the natural gas potential to drive industrial development is harnessed by constructive policy feedback, support for project development initiatives and structuring stakeholder collaborations that help unleash investments to build robust gas value chains within the sub-region.
