Located in the heart of Vancouver, The Gourmet Warehouse was founded by Chef Caren McSherry and has been in business since 1998. It started in a 700 square foot alley accessed warehouse. Now the store boasts over square feet of specialty ingredients and an inclusive range of cookware essentials, from spatulas to tagines. You’ll find everything you need to outfit and enhance your kitchen and beyond. The Gourmet Warehouse welcomes all to experience the delights of international cuisine in the comfort of your own home. Inspiration can be found throughout the aisles, on every shelf, even on the walls, and you never know which local chef is going to be there for the same purpose. Our team travels the world to fill the store with authentic and original products before they hit the mainstream market. We diligently carry forward the passion of spreading culinary knowledge and enthusiasm towards everyone who walks in the door. From recipe ideas, to product recommendations we’re happy to assist. CHEF CAREN MCSHERRY Caren McSherry is the Founder and President of The Gourmet Warehouse. Her cooking school is the longest running private cooking school in Canada. She has trained at the prestigious Cordon Bleu in London, England, The Oriental Hotel in Bangkok, and The Culinary Institute of America in New York. She is a resident chef on Global TV's Saturday morning news, and has published 7 cookbooks that have made their way into countless homes around the world.
