The Grand

The Grand, located in a 1920’s private villa in the French Concession, is the hangout spot for the who’s who of Shanghai. Members range from power players in entertainment, fashion, music, tech entrepreneurs, impact investors, and top artists. Membership is by invite or application only to ensure quality. The Grand actively facilitate networking by hosting prestigious events and dinners, inviting thought leaders from around the world to visit and speak. A special VIP service provides professional “matchmaking” for its members, connecting entrepreneurs with investors or potential business partner collaborations. The first location combines Chinese and Western elements to create an intimate setting complete with workspace, meeting rooms, art gallery, fine dining chef’s table, private cocktail lounge, and recording studio. Other unique offerings will include rotating art exhibits, performances, movie screenings and wellness classes. Lounge areas and spa services offer privacy and relaxation. The highlighting feature of the clubhouse will be DAPHNE. Offering eight-course seasonal tasting menus by celebrity Chef Daphne, the chef’s table will also showcase Michelin starred chefs. Seating only 16 people per night, the dinners will be available by members reservation only. Wine list includes top rated Italian wine Querciabella, finest French organic wine legendary Sauterns Grand Cru Château Guiraud and star winery from France Domaine Singla, artisanal Chinese rice wine, and other Asian and European craft spirits and liqueurs. Expert-selected tea menu includes highly rare varieties such as Da Hong Pao and 50-year-old puer teas. A private bar will offer personal liquor cabinet for members’ own collections. Membership is currently by invitation only but will open up for applications in the future.
