The Green, Wembdon

In 2012 Planning Permission for this exciting community facility was granted by Sedgemoor District Council. Since then, The Green has become a mainstay for junior and senior community sports clubs with winter and summer fixtures on the Main and Nursery pitches. The Bar and Lounge, with it's outside terrace, offers a welcoming space to enjoy sports on the 'big screen' as well as a facility for events. The inside space lends itself to nearly any venue hire booking with space for 150 seated guests, it's proven a popular destination for weddings and formal events. The space we offer for hire is regularly used for keep-fit and exercise classes; local interest groups; services provided by the NHS; meetings and conferences; birthday parties. We have a brand new space, opening in September this year, that overlooks The Green and will be a fantastic addition to our venue hire offering. The Green is a space for everyone, of all ages, with facilities for informal play, for walking or jogging, dog walking and habitats to increase biodiversity and local wildlife.
