The Guild Hall

Our mission is to decrease joblessness and increase mental health in under-served communities by acting as a center of community connection. The Guild Hall is focused on serving the community located in and around the Austin, TX area. We seek to aid those that need assistance securing employment by connecting them with the vital community resources available to help them become successful. We network with other groups in the area to help guild members secure basic life necessities; such as housing, food, childcare, work clothing, and transportation. We also provide basic job search needs; such as resume writing, practice interviews, and application assistance. We will address educational needs through in-house training programs and by developing partnerships designed to provide on-the-job training, internships, trade school, business school, or post-secondary educational training. Community business partners will be able to work with us to help meet their staffing needs. Our partners will seek to hire our guild members because we review applications, conduct interviews, do background screens, and complete reference checks before sending them out. Since this initial screening has already occurred, it can help streamline the hiring process. This can save our partner company HR departments time and effort, which translates to decreased costs and increased value for our partners to come to the guild to fill open positions first. Finally, we need the support of the community, volunteers, and financial contributors to make this dream a reality. This effort is all about the community coming together to help support those that may be at a socioeconomic disadvantage or those suffering from mental health challenges. By helping those less fortunate in our local area, they will grow stronger, and be able to contribute more as well, to growing the Austin area into a strong and prosperous city moving forward. The stronger each resident is, the stronger we all are!
