The Hanapepe Hero

The Hanapepe Hero is both a children's book and a nonprofit organization with a shared dedication to elevate and inspire community-builders. Our children's book,"The Hanapepe Hero"(ages 5+), aims to instill social consciousness and community responsibility in young readers. Through the captivating journey of Ron, a young boy who unexpectedly saves his declining town of Hanapepe, we endeavor to inspire every kid to recognize the hero within themselves. All proceeds are donated to literacy programs benefitting the local youth of Hanapepe, Kauai. As a social enterprise, we harness the same storytelling to give a platform for social entrepreneurship in Hanapepe, highlighting local businesses, non-profit organizations, and initiatives.
