Our guiding principle is simple: we believe that it’s crucial for children to find solace and comfort in every aspect of their lives, whether they’re with family and friends, in school, or elsewhere in their community. The Harbor Lights Foundation is committed to providing support, education, and resources with family and friends, peers, educators, and community organizations so that children dealing with illness or grief have an intricate support network available in every part of their lives. Core activities at Harbor Lights include- Individual and group support (children, teens and families)- Social activities (children, teens, peers, families, parents)- School outreach (teacher support, grief counseling, curriculum, faculty workshops)- Community support, leader education, and workshops
