The Hidden Japan is a travel and PR company based in Yamagata Prefecture which is focused on helping to facilitate the development of the foreign tourism industry in the Tohoku Region and other rural parts of Japan. The Shonai Region of this prefecture only had foreign tourist visits in 2017, a shockingly low number considering the pristine nature, vibrant culture, and adventures to be had here. This is a region that is completely unpolluted and unchanged by the massive surge of foreign tourism that is currently overwhelming Tokyo, Kyoto, and Osaka.
