The Hornet
The Hornet is Fullerton College’s student newspaper, produced by the news media production classes at Fullerton College. It has been continually publishing news, sports, arts, entertainment, features and opinion stories since Jan 12, 1923. The Hornet was called The Weekly Torch from 1923 until 1954, when it changed its name to The Hornet. In 2016, The Hornet discontinued its print edition to become a fully digital news outlet. It publishes stories nearly every day during the fall and spring semesters. Jessica Langlois has advised The Hornet since 2021, and past advisers include Jay Seidel (2001-2021), Julie Davey (1987-1995), Larry Taylor (1975-1987), and Lewis Barrett (1961-1975).
