We believe that the value of an image lies in a combination of its visual strength and the information it conveys. Our images come from different sources; top-notch photojournalists, a network of affiliated agencies, specialized collections, museums and newspapers. Spanning both historical and contemporary material, the result is an incredibly diverse, yet focused, collection of nearly 1 1/2 images online and access to over 45 million.
