The Institute of Blogging (IoB) has been formed with one goal in mind – to protect the interests of the global blogging community and our professional blogging members. Based in the historical and world famous academic location of Oxford in the UK, we bring together years of experience in both the practice of professional blogging, Research and Development – in addition to Training and Skills, in order to provide authority, support and guidance to the blogosphere – and to support and advise its surrounding industries – which includes technology, journalism, PR and website best practice. Like any other profession – which blogging should be considered – lies the need for a framework to deliver competence and ethical guidance – and our role, here at the Institute of Blogging (which is the only professional membership body for bloggers) is to deliver against this need.
