The Isabel Baker Foundation

The Isabel Baker Foundation is a charity born out of personal loss and a passion for supporting families facing the challenges of childhood cancer. After losing Isabel to leukaemia, Vicky witnessed first hand how financial and emotional support was desperately lacking for bereaved parents. Over the past decade, our endeavours have led to significant change, including our proud role in advocating for the Children's Funeral Fund in Parliament. This means that every child's funeral in the UK is now free of charge, and not means tested. At our foundation, we are dedicated to helping families navigate one of life's toughest challenges. We provide supermarket vouchers to ease financial strain during treatment, supply specialised dry suits for children with Hickman lines so they can safely enjoy water activities, and offer complimentary stays at Isabel’s Retreat to both families and bereaved parents. Recently, we have also introduced a complimentary therapy fund to address the critical gaps in physical, dietary, and nutritional support for children with cancer.
