The Just Society

The JUST Society consists of like-minded Black men in biotech leadership who aspire to foster a spirit of innovation, collaboration and excellence in the life science industry. We build on the legacy of Ernest Everett Just, one of the most renowned Black scientists in history, who broke through countless barriers faced by Black men in science in the early 1900s. According to a recent study by Bio, Black people represent only 6% of the workforce and only 3% of leadership in biotech and pharma. We want to ensure Black men are no longer an anomaly on biopharma executive teams, corporate boards, private equity, venture capital teams and service providers. THE JUST Society aims to ensure that access to capital is readily available to fund or invest in Black biotech enterprises comprising of critical therapies, technologies and services.
