The Kaatn Trail

The Kaatn Trail is symbolic to our tremendous love and passion for what we curate here. At TKT, we create simple and minimalistic, all day wear designs that are made from natural fibers, handwoven fabrics sourced from various skilled artisans across India. We truly love collaborating contemporary silhouettes with traditional handwoven Indian textiles. We call them timeless beauties. Our prime focus is to craft patterns that are skillfully simple, elegant and can be worn from a weekday to weekend! It leaves us in immense pride that we bring our heritage fabrics into play! On this journey, we aim to revisit the forgotten path of our heirloom and also carve new trail for our beloved textiles. Hence we decided to aptly name it as The Kaatn Trail. The word Kaatn is derived from “Cotton” and rightly spelled as K-aa-t-n. With the growing awareness for eco-friendly clothing and sustainable fashion, it’s highly imperative that we take conscious efforts and ensure rightful production of garments. Our fabrics are tested for dye and we have personally visited our weaving and dyeing units to ascertain the genuineness of the fabrics used by us. After spending years in corporate world we realized that’s one place (workplace) where khadi (or any kind of handloom fabric) has not seeped – in yet. We have seen women donning handloom sarees as a work wear, but proper western formal clothing was still missing. With a four-fold increase in working women population, we felt it was need of the hour to introduce khadi and Indian handloom fabrics in a refreshingly contemporary look making it a complete package from being classy to comfortable. However, we never wanted to limit ourselves as “only formal wear” brand, hence we curated an excellent blend of work wear and casual wear both. The beauty of simple and classic styles is that they can be played around as per the occasion and mood. Hence all our silhouettes are versatile and can be easily adapted to suit your vibe!
