The Karuk Tribe

We are the Karuk Tribe, located in northern California. Our primary areas of service are Happy Camp, Yreka, and Orleans. Nestled in one of the last genuinely remote regions of the United States, the Karuk Tribe offers a rare opportunity to live and work in a place where nature, purpose, and community intersect. Surrounded by the rugged beauty of Northern California's Klamath River, our homelands are rich with opportunities for outdoor adventure—whitewater rafting, fishing, hiking, and exploring the wild, untamed landscape that has sustained the Karuk people for thousands of years.
