The Lamp Project

As an organization, The Lamp Project is now defunct. We were dedicated to spotlighting and supporting socially engaged artists and the causes they champion. You can still find a web page full of great art, articles, and interviews at thelampproject.org. The Lamp Project focused its efforts on artists who: • Make great art • Give significant time, energy, or resources to a good cause • Are "under-recognized," or deserving of more recognition than they have yet received. We focused on causes which: • Tend to be unifying and not divisive • Get to the core of what it means to be human—arts, education, poverty, homelessness, hunger, disease, domestic violence, slavery, and human rights in general.
