The Listeners Collective

We are a team of multidisciplinary mental health professionals working with individuals and communities towards empowered and full self expression and wellbeing. Alongside, we strive to design safe spaces for communities through our psycho-social interventions, for mental health practitioners through the Collective; and we enjoy writing think pieces with the aim to advance mental health discourse and research. We understand that beginning therapy is not easy and are here to make it slightly easier – to offer a safe and compassionate space for you to explore and unravel your thoughts, emotions and life experiences. We believe that every individual’s life journey and lived experience is unique and therefore warrants a tailored approach in therapy and require to be firmly grounded in the socio-cultural context and environmental realities that an individual comes from. As a collective, we are also committed to depathologizing mental health, focusing on strengths in practice and embracing diversity in thought and experience. We are trauma-informed, queer affirmative and intersectional.
