The Litography Project

The Litography Project is an interactive and evolving multimedia map honoring San Francisco’s literary past and present, and helping to shape its future. This map functions as an online space for people to explore a variety of creative stories about San Francisco’s literary scene. We hope that by organizing stories on a map, we’ll help contextualize the people, places, events, and ideas of the city’s literary culture. And since there are so many different types of stories to be told about this place, we will utilize all different kinds of media to tell them - that’s where the multimedia comes in. There will be writing, illustrations, photo, audio, and maybe even the occasional cat gif (probably not). We’ll continue to add stories to the map on a regular basis in order to grow and evolve with our city.
