The Lookout Report

The Lookout Report seeks to provide nuanced analysis of topics that are overlooked due to their perceived ‘irrelevance’, such as elections and major policy shifts in Latin America, and conflict and the retreat of democracy in the Sahel or Sub-Saharan Africa. These issues have broader implications for the future of trade, global security, and international order and deserve consideration and engagement. The Lookout Report was founded by KCL Postgraduate students Joshua Schlicht and Ben Kwasnik in October 2023. As students of International Political Economy, they are passionate about global political affairs, and wanted to share their analysis of political and current affairs from around the world. Since then, TLR has grown into a journal with multiple reporters and writers, and is rapidly expanding to other continents and regions.
