The Luster Kind

The Luster Kind is a Los Angeles-based boutique design studio dedicated to transforming home, office and public engagement, use and style. Rooted in design history, ancient and modern art and architecture, the studio reimagines interiors for all abilities in a world we see as multicultural and full of new talent and ideas. Our focus will always be the client and our vision, to create unique, functional, refined designs that transcend eras and inspire our collaborators for years to come. DESIGN Our studio streamlines the space planning, design, specification and management processes and provides direct access to international trade resources, craftsman and brands. Our designs incorporate years of A&D experience, trade-only retailers and partners in addition to consumer brands, and an understanding of industry shifts and directions. UNIVERSAL The Luster Kind is CAPS certified through the National Association of Home Builders. Our design services specialize in requirements, compliance and considerations for special needs, aging-in-place and independent living. We are an advocate of universal design and believe that great design should be accessed, understood and utilized by people of all ages and abilities. ACCESSIBLITY We offer a multi-tiered approach for maximum accessibility. In addition to full service hourly or project fee rates, TLK offers virtual design packages tailored to clients with various needs including accelerated lead times and no renovation or in-person meeting requirements. Packages are offered at a flat-fee with direct designer communication and include purchasing if requested, regardless of project location.
