The Madcap Learning Adventure

The Madcap Learning Adventure was created by David Devine, with initial funding from the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation and Pearson Education. Madcap Board Advisors include Sir Ken Robinson and Peter Senge. Education Knowledge Company with production of pedagogical resources, digital film, animation & interactive non-linear content modules for grades 3-9. Transforming Education for the Digital Age Utilizing a Teachers' Corps and Motion Leadership, curriculum mapping aligned to the CCSS & engaging digital interactivity using creative and original snack films, focused pedagogical connections & interactive activity extensions that promote collaborative knowledge creation & shared experiences in the classroom. Modular prototypes are delivered from a web portal by streaming broadband to all forms of mobile devices, PC's, laptops & tablets directly into elementary & middle school classrooms for 'public education'. Testing in the classroom is planned in March & April of 2013 in Ontario & in the state of Maine. The goal is to transform student and teacher outcomes creating a new pedagogy with teacher and students as learning partners.
