The Mayan Wisdom Project

Our journey began three years ago when our co-founder Solveig and her father, the renowned Mayan Spiritual Leader Tata Carlos Barrios, joined forces. Fueled by a deep concern over the misappropriation and dilution of Mayan traditions, Solveig dedicated herself to empowering the Maya people to share their sacred wisdom with the world. With the invaluable support of her husband and Mayan Wisdom Project co-founder, Martin, Solveig transformed her father's profound insights into captivating videos and educational content for a broad audience. With the help of their team, Martin & Solveig’s unwavering commitment to the safety and prosperity of the Maya people has allowed this small project flourish into a global movement whilst upholding its mission to honor the legacy of Tata Carlos, whose pioneering work paved the way for this profound cultural exchange.
