The Mind Gym

Hypnosis (named after the Greek God of sleep, Hypnos) has been around for centuries but has only been recognised relatively recently as a bona fide method of treatment (therapy) for a whole range of conditions of the mind. Hypnotherapy is capable of changing the way a person feels about certain issues in his/her life which, in turn, changes the way they act. The Hypnotic Trance is often defined as like being awake but not awake, like being asleep but not asleep. Everyone has had the experience of being totally engrossed in a book or a film, not quite aware of what is going on around them.
