The Mwezi Foundation

The Mwezi Foundation manufactures and donates solar lights to school children in Kenya. We keep strong relationships with all of the schools and visit regularly to replace any non-functioning lights, returning them to our workshop in Mombasa to be fixed and re-donated. The UK directors all work pro bono with our team in Kenya managing the day to day solar light programme. Students with our lights can study past the hours of daylight, into the night, to help them achieve their academic potential. Their families are also able to take advantage of the light to cook. Having access to a Mwezi light saves money and improves health as families don't have to pay for, and use, kerosene lights, on the nights their children have borrowed a light.
