The Northpine Foundation

Northpine invests in ventures that deliver lasting change for Canada's most underinvested communities. We aim to drive meaningful change for underserved communities, through customized financial support, and by building bridges between people, ideas, and resources. Identifying high-potential initiatives from across sectors, we invest tailored risk capital via grants, loans, equity, service contracts, or a blend of these. In areas where traditional funding is hesitant or risk-averse, our investments help to validate concepts and reduce risks for future investors. Our goal is to create impact that delivers lasting results after our funding ends, expanding the reach or depth of impact through adapting solutions, and collaborating across sectors. We believe in the kindness of everyone and find ways to build bridges to the society we envision. With a focus on this core value, the Northpine Foundation designs, funds, and collaborates on ventures that combine best practices with new, untried approaches to drive scalable change towards a thriving Canada.
