The Oher Foundation

The Oher Foundation is a Nashville based nonprofit centered around providing life-changing education and enrichment opportunities to brilliant & driven students with strong character- specifically those who are at an extreme socioeconomic disadvantage. The Oher Foundation's school partner is Lipscomb Academy, a Christian, private school with no shortage of prestige or opportunities. The Opportunity Scholars will attend school there for all four years, their tuition paid by scholarship grants from The Oher Foundation. One of the foundation's main goals is to provide our scholars with the specialized support and expansive resources that they would not receive in public school. We know that just providing a scholarship to attend doesn't necessarily guarantee success, so The Oher Foundation intercedes in other aspects of the scholars' lives as well. In addition to scholarship grants- we provide whatever else our scholars may need to succeed in the classroom. That includes specialized tutoring, transportation, fees incurred by extracurriculars, or anything else that's essential to the success of our scholars. We do everything we can to empower our scholars to reach their fullest potential.
