The Polish Place

Phil & Ania Sowter founded and still own The Polish Place - comprising of self-contain Accommodation, and until recently, a Polish Restaurant & Art Gallerie, on the western edge of Tamborine Mountain. 2023 saw The Polish Place celebrate 40 years of the Restaurant, serving customers traditional, authentic Polish cuisine, with Polish vodkas, beers & local wines, set within a Polish themed indoor area with woodlog fireplace and outdoors on the deck, overlooking the west and the Great Dividing Range. Stunning sunsets all year round, natural bird life especially Rainbow Lorikeets and kookaburras visiting daily. The Restaurant became famous for its “Roast Duck for Two, with apples & cherries”…a staple that will be missed! Though the restaurant is now closed as of the 4th September 2023, the self contained Accommodation continues to run, offering romantic getaways to couples. 5 individual Polish-style chalets are perched along the edge of the mountain, with double storey loft style/mezzanine bedrooms, fireplace, double spa in the lounge room, smart flat screen TVs, fully functional kitchen, and private deck overlooking the stunning mountain views and sunsets.
