Our Purpose: The Ponderosa is founded by two sisters with a dream to bring joy in the form of gifting. Both with a background in e-commerce and marketing, Natalee and Emily aspire to deliver a seamless online experience to those looking to support Australian brands. Whether you’re looking to bring a smile to a loved one or simply treating yourself (we wholeheartedly support self-gifting), The Ponderosa provides a curated collection of luxury gifts to be treasured. Being sustainably conscious is a core value of our brand, with thoughtful considerations behind the selection of partners and suppliers we choose to work with. We believe in nurturing our planet in which we call home. How it all began. As young girls, Natalee & Emily were inseparable and would spend time at their grandparents where their Grandpop would invite them to “walk around the ponderosa”' in other words "the garden" which was one of their most treasured locations. “The Ponderosa” has stayed with them as they’ve grown up and has become a treasured childhood memory that reminds them of their family roots. After deciding to name their gift store The Ponderosa, it was a natural fit to also incorporate the Yorkshire Rose into the logo to show respect to their family heritage in England and the memories associated to their time in The Ponderosa. The Yorkshire Rose has always been a beloved flower for both Natalee and Emily.
