The Recreation Project

The Recreation Project prepares young people to thrive through outdoor adventure and transformative play. Our 5-acre outdoor adventure center is the only one of its kind in Northern Uganda. We believe that recreation plays an important role in youth development, and we offer programs that build the important life and character skills accomplished through outdoor adventure, play, and sports. We offer high and low ropes courses, a zip-line and climbing wall, targeted climbing clubs for at risk youth, overnight wilderness excursions, and sports programs–all of which work as psychosocial interventions that support emotional healing and mitigate the negative impacts of the armed conflict that have impacted northern Uganda.
