Reta was established in 1978 as an ERISA Trust which has allowed us to shape our Catholic healthcare plans and programs to conform with the directives and social and moral teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. Since our humble beginnings as the first to offer Catholic healthcare, Reta continues to deliver on this founding commitment that is core to everything we do. Even Reta’s decisions on how we invest plan reserves are aligned with Catholic principles. Reta is a self-governed trust. That means our member trustees and Trustors make all the decisions. And as a nonprofit organization, we return excess reserves to our member Trustors, unlike some of our competitors who retain them as profit. Another advantage of being a Reta Trustor is that benefits communications, online enrollment, plan administration and state and federal compliance services are included with Reta healthcare coverage. Reta offers a comprehensive online benefits enrollment and administrative platform called RetaEnroll. It’s part of a 24-7 benefit information portal powered by Benefit Allocation Systems (BAS). The Reta Benefits Center (RBC) is an online interactive participant communication portal that is automatically customized to each Trustor and personalized to each individual employee. The Reta personalized digital bulletin series is specifically designed to provide pertinent and timely benefit information to our Trustors, their brokers and employees.
