The Salt Room Perth

Salt therapy, one of the world’s oldest natural remedies, offers a drug-free, non-invasive treatment for a wide range of respiratory & skin conditions. With no known side effects, it is safe & effective for all ages. Renowned for its powerful antiviral, antibacterial, antifungal, antimicrobial, antihistamine, & anti-inflammatory properties, salt was first recommended by Hippocrates in 460BCE & later embraced in the 1800s in Eastern Europe’s underground salt mines. At our Salt Rooms, we recreate the unique microclimate found in natural salt caves. Each 45-minute session involves a specialised medical-grade halo-generator that grinds pure pharmaceutical-grade salt into microscopic particles & disperses them into the air. These fine particles are inhaled deep into the lungs & also settle on exposed skin. Clinical studies show that salt therapy can remove airborne allergens from the airways with an efficacy rate of 75–98%. Inhaled dry salt aerosol helps reduce inflammation throughout the respiratory system, loosening mucus in the bronchial passages to make it easier to expel—enhancing immune function & supporting overall wellness. The dry salt also helps cleanse the microbial flora in the respiratory tract, restoring natural mucociliary function & reducing inflammation, which strengthens the body’s natural defenses against infection. Beyond respiratory benefits, salt therapy is proven to help manage skin conditions such as eczema, psoriasis, & dermatitis. It reduces inflammation & improves microcirculation at the skin’s surface, promoting collagen production & skin repair for a healthier, clearer complexion. Salt therapy is also known for its calming & mood-enhancing effects. The peaceful, meditative environment, combined with deep, rhythmic breathing, can help ease stress, anxiety, & symptoms of depression. Many clients report a profound sense of relaxation & mental clarity after each session, making it a powerful support for emotional & psychological well-being.
