The Searchers is the independent market leader in Benelux film distribution, with offices in Belgium and the Netherlands. Founded in September 2015 by Olivier Van den Broeck, the company releases 25–30 prestige, cast-driven features annually. Through exclusive partnerships with FilmNation, Black Bear, Neon, A24, RocketScience and Anton, it has built a 400+-title catalogue spanning blockbusters, director-driven indies and crossover gems. Early landmark releases include “Hell or High Water”, “I, Tonya,” “Jackie” and “Wind River”. It later scored major hits with “Everything Everywhere All at Once,” “Past Lives,” “The Salt Path,” “The Beekeeper,” “The Plane,” “Conclave” and “Maria.” Bold marketing, innovative release windows and strategic campaigns have driven both theatrical success and streaming impact. Backed by a solid financial foundation, The Searchers secured a slate-financing deal with Anton Capital (co-producer of “Greenland,” past co-financier of StudioCanal’s “Paddington” and “Non-Stop”) and private equity from Vectis Partners in 2017. Today, fully management-owned and privately held, the company thrives on agility and industry reputation.
