The Sexy Chef is a healthy food company that offers diet programs, delivers healthy meals and organizes catering for parties and corporate events around Metro Manila. The Sexy Chef was originally established by singer-actress Rachel Alejandro and sister Chef Barni Alejandro-Rennebeck in 2004 as a diet food catering service that specializes in delivering South Beach Diet meals to health and figure-conscious Filipinos. Two years later, Gold’s Gym Philippines tapped The Sexy Chef to become their food partner. The company then opened and operated health food and beverage kiosks in 3 Gold’s Gym branches until 2010. In 2009, The Sexy Chef became a company owned by OBC 5 STAR, Inc. with Rachel and Barni’s mother, Chef Myrna DeMauro, at the helm as Managing Director. What started out as a mom-and-pop operation has now become a team of highly qualified chefs, customer care specialists, marketing and finance department personnel that work hand in hand to achieve the company’s mission — to provide nutritious meals and easy weight management solutions to professionals that include the country’s top celebrities. Today, The Sexy Chef has expanded its services by offering party and corporate event catering services, as well as affordable healthy lunch and dinner meals for delivery, a favorite with the office crowd. Aside from the best-selling South Beach Diet, The Sexy Chef now also offers many different weight-loss programs, including original diet plans co-created with U.S-certified Fitness Nutritionist Nadine Tengco, resident food coach of the hit reality television show The Biggest Loser Philippines. Current partners in The Sexy Chef’s health and wellness advocacy include Sexy Solutions of Belo Medical Group, Juju Cleanse and Nadine Tengco of I-Health.
