The Shift Project Byron
The SHIFT Project is a not for profit, non-government funded organisation that supports women through the challenges they face moving from homelessness to independence, from welfare to wellbeing. Our purpose is to disrupt the cycle of women’s homelessness. Our vision is to have a self-sustaining, integrative community of confident women within the Byron region. Our mission is to provide educational programs within supported environments, such as stable housing and employment. We strive to provide participants with the experience of being valued by others to, in turn, value themselves, creating long-term sustainable shifts towards stability and reconnection with the community. We invite both Aboriginal and non Aboriginal people as well as those from a non-English speaking background to participate. To find out more about The SHIFT Project programs and opportunities, visit our website. The SHIFT Project acknowledges the Arakwal People, Traditional Custodians of these lands on which we meet and pay tribute and respect to the Elders both past and present.
