The Sign Cellar

I created The Sign Cellar in 1990, after moving back to Kamloops from Vancouver. Having stumbled into the sign industry, literally by accident (a motorcycle mishap that initiated a new life path) I quickly realized after working in a few different sign shops, that this would be my new career. I got into the industry at a time when computer assisted signmaking (CAS) was a new and exciting idea. I feel fortunate I was able to have incorporated my ongoing airbrush and drawing with this new technology, as I feel more grounded in my art while using these new design tools. After 25 years, I have seen amazing changes in this industry. All aspects of the trade have grown and and continue to be developed exponentially. Wide format Digital Printing, ever evolving design software, Direct to garment printers, and the extensive array of new substrates and vinyl marking films have allowed us to stay current and competitive in today's sign industry.
