The Slow Cyclist

The Slow Cyclist offers extraordinary cycling and walking adventures for the culturally curious. We believe that travel is worth taking time over; that a great holiday means getting under the skin of a place, meeting its people, indulging in its culture and understanding its history and customs. Having welcomed our first guests to Transylvania in 2015, we now take guests to little-known corners across Europe, Africa and Asia. We provide electric bikes as standard now. They do as much or as little of the hard work as you wish. On private journeys you may choose a non-electric bike, although we recommend letting the bike take the strain so you can give more energy to the places you travel through. People are the beating heart of any enterprise. We are no different. From our guests and guides to our UK team and the communities whose lives we touch around the world, we have a responsibility to be a beneficial influence. We ensure your money goes into local hands, so wherever we can, we stay in locally owned properties. We don't scrimp on comfort though. To ensure a good nights' sleep we carry our own pillows and linen among other home comforts.
